Founding Partners

Apposit draws from the significant experience of its founding partners and who have all had a significant amount of experience delivering first-rate technology services in various private sector industries and public sector organizations in both developed and developing world markets.

Adam Abate

Mr. Adam Abate is a founding partner of Apposit and is responsible for the business development and operations of the company. Mr. Abate has 12 years of experience working in software product development. He started his career at Accenture (previously Andersen Consulting) and has worked for Fortune 100 clients including DuPont, Siebel Systems, and Ocean Spray Cranberries. Prior to returning to Ethiopia in 2001, Mr. Abate worked for ERisk Holdings in New York, where he was a member of the product development team developing enterprise risk management systems for banks and insurance companies. Most recently, as Director of Information Technology for the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, Mr. Abate managed the development and implementation of a nationwide integrated financial management system for public finance in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development in Ethiopia. Mr. Abate graduated with honors in Economics and Development Studies from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, USA.

Eric Chijioke

Eric O. Chijioke is a founding partner of Apposit and is responsible for the technology services division of the company. Mr. Chijioke has 12 years of experience in product development and software product management. Mr. Chijioke has designed and managed the implementation of mid to large scale risk management software systems for clients in the private financial and energy sectors, as well as several similar system development projects for agencies of the World Bank. Most recently, as Lead Systems Architect for the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, Mr. Chijioke led the development of a nationwide, integrated financial management system for public finance in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development in Ethiopia. Mr. Chijioke holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, USA

Simon Solomon

Simon Solomon is a founding partner of Apposit and is the head of Infrastructural Technology Services of the company. Mr. Solomon has over 12 years of experience working on enterprise systems development with a specialization on middleware applications, infrastructural monitoring systems and security. Mr. Solomon has worked in the United States for Nortel Networks and Federated Systems Group as a leading member of their middleware architecture group. Most recently Mr. Solomon worked as the Lead Software Developer for the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, on a project for the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development in Ethiopia. In this role, Mr. Solomon developed the security and infrastructural components of a nationwide, integrated financial management system and led efforts towards the successful operation of the application on a nationwide, satellite based wide-area-network. Mr. Solomon has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, GA, USA.
